  GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN GHARESOO-ZARINGOL IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE NETWORK PROJECT Project ID No. IRN-1006 The Islamic Development Bank has approved EURO 92.20 Million under Istisna`a mode of financing for the Islamic Republic of Iran to finance GHARESOO-ZARINGOL IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE NETWORK PROJECT for GOLESTAN REGIONAL WATER ATORITHY (GRWA). The GRWA intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. Project Objectives: The objective of the proposed project is to supplement GOI`s efforts for water resources management using IWRM at the river basin level by: (i) sustainably increasing agriculture production through improved irrigation and drainage system and participatory management mechanism; (ii) increased irrigation efficiency by using new water conserving technologies; (iii) reducing soil erosion and sediment yields into the Kaboodval Dam through improved upper watershed management; and (iv) protecting environment of Gorgan River Basin. The project scope will include the following components: (i) Construction of Gharesoo Zaringol Irrigation & Drainage Network, National Training Center, Carpet Workshop for Women, Mini Hydropower Plant (ii) Construction of Fenderesk Dam, and Flood Prevention System; (iii) Water Quality Monitoring System; (iv) Data Monitoring System; (v) Consultancy Services for IWRM System Development; (vi) Consultancy Services for Environment Management Plan and Upper Watershed Management; (vii) Basin Wide Knowledge Data Base Development; (viii) Project Management Unit; (ix) Project Financial Audit; (x) Training for PIM (WUA, farmers, women etc) and CB (xi) PMU Support (xii) O&M Support Procurement of works contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Islamic Development Bank`s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works Under Islamic Development Bank Financing (latest edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be procured in accordance with the Islamic Development Bank`s Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (latest edition).
